Man in his 80s hit by truck in Sydney's west

A pedestrian has been taken to hospital after he was hit by a truck in Sydney's west.

NSW Ambulance said the man, believed to be in his 80s, was reportedly struck just after 9am on Clyde St in South Granville.

He suffered chest, leg and pelvic injuries.

He was treated at the scene by several ambulance crews, before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious condition.
