Man held over sex attack at Sydney station

A 43-year-old man has been arrested after indecently assaulting an elderly wheelchair-bound woman at Blacktown railway station, police say.

The 72-year-old woman was waiting on the concourse just before 6pm on Wednesday, when she was approached by a man who spun her wheelchair around and indecently assaulted her, according to police.

The woman managed to wheel herself back to the main barriers of the station to report the incident.

After a police investigation a man was arrested in Dharruk on Thursday afternoon.

The man is at Mt Druitt Police Station assisting with inquiries.
