Man gets raw McChicken, hates it
An Adelaide man is definitely not loving it after he was served a chicken burger with a raw pattie at a South Australian McDonald's on Monday.
The 26-year-old man, James Parsons, bit into the burger after buying it from the Rynella McDonald's drive through to find it cold and uncooked.
His wife Phillipa told the Adelaide Advertiser that her husband felt ill after the experience.
"He obviously instantly felt very sick, then he was worried about getting sick."
She said they were offered a replacement meal but decided against it in the circumstances.
They couple sent a photo of the burger to McDonald's head office so they could investigate.
The incident comes after a NSW boy was served raw chicken nuggets at a McDonald's outlet in Wollongong.
A McDonalds' spokesperson said the company was getting to the bottom of what happened.
"We take food safety very seriously and have strict processes and systems in place," they said.
"We are currently investigating this with the restaurant and liaising with the customer directly."
