Man found dead after suspected hit-and-run in regional Victoria

A man has been found dead on a road after a suspected hit-and-run in Nyah West, near the Murray River in Victoria, this morning.

Police said a passer-by discovered the body on Nyah West Road, near the intersection of Matson Lane, about 4.30am.

It is believed he was run over by an unknown vehicle, officers said.

He is yet to be formally identified.
