Police recapture man who fled custody at Western Australian police station

Police have recaptured a man who escaped from custody at a police station in Western Australia's Peel region.

Glen Salmon, 46, was found by police in the Perth suburb of Bibra Lake just before 2pm.

He fled Pinjarra Police Station on Sunday afternoon, sparking a two-day search.

Earlier today he was spotted at Cockburn Shopping Centre and seen jumping a fence towards a nearby train station.

He is now in police custody and has been taken to hospital for a medical examination.
