Man dressed as Wolverine arrested after violent brawl
A 28-year-old man dressed as Wolverine has been arrested over a violent brawl in Sydney’s CBD.
Police were called to a hotel on King Street just before 2am following reports of a fight, as dozens of people flooded the city’s centre for pop culture festival Comic Con.
Officers allege a man dressed as action hero Wolverine was involved in an argument with two other men, before punching one of them and knocking the other unconscious.
The alleged victims were taken to St Vincent’s Hospital where they were treated for minor injuries, while their accused attacker was arrested.
As part of investigations, police spoke to a number of witnesses, including one dressed as a Power Ranger.
The alleged offender since been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and resist or hinder police officer in the execution of duty.
He will face Downing Centre Local Centre this Wednesday.
