Man drags woman to the ground by her hair in Canberra nightclub

Police are searching for a man who pulled a woman to the ground by her hair at Cube nightclub in Petrie Plaza last month.

CCTV footage captured the vicious attack, initially showing the woman appearing to reject the man’s advances at the bar.

The man later walks past her and drags her to the ground by her hair.

The man had earlier repeatedly tried to speak with her, appearing to lean in close to her and reach across her as she turns away.

The man quickly fled the nightclub after the November 20 assault.

Three other men left with him.

He is described as being Caucasian in appearance, around 183cm tall with dark brown hair and a light beard.

He was wearing a blue or green checked shirt at the time.
