Man dies in single-car crash in Sydney's east

A man has died after his car crashed into a pole and flipped, leaving him trapped inside the car in Sydney's east.

At around 11.50 last night, emergency services were called to Bellevue Park Road after reports that a vehicle had crashed into a power pole.

A man - who is yet to be identified - was the only person in the car and was found unresponsive and trapped in the vehicle.

He was assessed by paramedics and declared deceased at the scene.

Police have since established a crime scene and are investigating the crash.
