Man dies during NSW police car chase

A man has died during a police car chase in NSW's Illawarra region.
Officers ordered the suspect to stop his Holden Commodore at Warrawong, near Port Kembla, about 3.20pm on Friday.
Police said the man refused to pull over and a short time later he crashed into a power pole on Northcliffe Drive. He died at the scene.

A police professional standards unit is reviewing the incident, including the conduct of the officers involved.
