Man placed in induced coma after Sydney one-punch attack

A man is in an induced coma after he was assaulted at Haymarket in central Sydney overnight.
Police and ambulance officers were called to George Street near Hay Street at about 12.45am last night after receiving reports a man had been assaulted.
A man aged in his 30s was treated by paramedics at the scene for injuries to his face and head.

It's understood he was the victim of a coward punch attack.
He was taken to St Vincent's Hospital in a critical condition and placed in an induced coma.
Police have been unable to identify the man, who was not carrying a phone or a wallet.
Investigators have set up a crime scene and are reviewing CCTV footage.
