Man charged with drink-driving after woman hit by car in western Sydney
A man has been charged with drink-driving today after a woman was struck by a vehicle in Sydney's west.
At about 7.30pm yesterday emergency services responded to reports of a pedestrian being hit by a car on Concord Road in Rhodes.
Police found a woman, aged 37, with neck, pelvic and leg injuries.
She was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition.
A man, aged 45, allegedly returned a positive reading from a roadside breath test.
He was arrested and charged with mid-range drink-driving, negligent driving and altered concentration of alcohol before test.
He was granted conditional bail and is due to appear in court tomorrow.
