Man charged with murder of missing Brisbane man Samuel Thompson

A man has been charged with the murder of missing Brisbane man Samuel Thompson.

Albion man Mr Thompson, 22, was last seen on March 7 driving his distinctive Ford Mustang. 

A 23-year-old Bald Hills man was today charged with one count of murder and one count of interfering with a corpse in relation to Mr Thompson's suspicious disappearance. 

Mr Thompson's body has not been found. His social media and bank accounts have not been accessed since he was last seen by his family.

A home in Bald Hills, in Brisbane's north, remains a crime scene and forensic crews are examining the property.

A tip has also been searched. 

Mr Thompson was the victim of an unsolved robbery in Brisbane last September, in which his car was stolen.

Police are investigating whether his disappearance might be linked to that crime.
