Man charged over striking death at Ipswich pub

A man has died after an alleged assault at an Ipswich hotel, and another man has been charged with unlawful striking causing death. 

Police were called to the hotel on Brisbane Road in Redbank about 4.45pm yesterday.

They found an injured man who was taken to hospital but later pronounced dead.

A 44-year-old Redbank man has since been charged with one count of unlawful striking causing death and is due to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court tomorrow.
