Man charged with murder after woman's body found on NSW Mid-North Coast

A man has been charged with the murder of a woman found dead in a cabin on the NSW Mid North Coast.

Emergency services were called to reports of a woman being found in a cabin on Pole Dump Forest Road, Bulga Forest about 11.30am on Saturday.

A crime scene was set up to investigate how the 34-year-old had died.

NSW Police said a 38-year-old man, who was known to the woman, was arrested by detectives at a home on Killawarra Street, Wingham about 5pm on Tuesday.

He was taken to Taree Police Station where he was charged with murder.

The man has been refused bail and is set to face Taree Local Court today.
