Man charged with murder of woman after body found in Adelaide hotel room on New Year's Day

A man has been charged with the murder of a 25-year-old Sydney woman whose body was found in an Adelaide hotel room on New Year's Day.
Detectives from the Major Crime Investigation branch arrested a 27-year-old Allenby Gardens man and charged him with murder yesterday.
Management at the Grand Chancellor Hotel on Hindley Street discovered the 26-year-old woman's body after the hotel room flooded.
It is believed the woman, who is Asian in appearance, resided in Sydney and had only been in Adelaide a few days.
At the time police said they believed the woman may have been a sex worker.
The man has been refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow.
