Man charged with shooting murder of Melbourne father

A man has been charged with murder over the fatal shooting of Melbourne father of three earlier this month.

Doncaster dad Ali Duyar died in hospital after he was shot in the upper body following an argument at a home in Keysborough on June 10.

The 34-year-old had visited the home on Bloomfield Road before he was shot an stumbled out onto the street at about 5.30pm.

Three other men who were at the scene of the shooting at the time fled.

Yesterday Homicide Squad detectives charged 25-year-old Omer Cicekdaj with Mr Duyar's murder.

He was remanded in custody overnight to face Melbourne Magistrates Court later this morning.
