Man charged with arson after housemates make lucky escape from blaze
A man has been charged over an alleged arson attack that destroyed a South Brisbane home this morning.
Three housemates were asleep when the fire caught hold at a home on Mollison Street.
It was "very lucky that me and the boys all made it out", resident Kayden Alesana told 9News.

"I could smell some smoke, so I grabbed a towel thinking it might just be like a fire alarm," resident Xavier Acuna, 22, said.
"I take a step outside of my room, and there's just smoke coming up from underneath me."
Multiple explosions were heard as the fire destroyed the house.
The three housemates said their fire alarms did not go off until after they'd escaped the burning home.
More than 10 trucks and 35 firefighters were called to bring the fire under control.

Detectives were on the scene this morning, quickly determining the blaze was not caused accidentally.
Security cameras on the street show what appears to be a man leaving the property carrying a bag moments before the home went up in flames.
Police arrested a man this afternoon, charging him with three counts of arson.
He is expected to face court tomorrow.
