Man charged over rape, murder of toddler

A man has been charged with the murder and rape of a two-year-old girl in northern NSW.
Police say the 23-year-old was arrested at Coffs Harbour on Thursday afternoon following an investigation after the toddler died at Coffs Harbour Health Campus on April 21.
She was brought in the night before.

The man is due before Coffs Harbour Local Court on Friday, facing charges of murder and aggravated sexual assault with a child under 10.
Police have not said whether the man and child were related.
