Man charged over attempted stabbing murder

A man who allegedly stabbed another man in the neck in central Queensland has been charged with attempted murder.
The 61-year-old victim was stabbed in the neck in the town of Comet on Monday afternoon, police said in a statement.
A 41-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder, an act intended to cause grievous bodily harm and deprivation of liberty, and assault over the incident.

He is due to appear in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
The injured man remains in Blackwater hospital.
