Man charged after Sydney explosion

A man has been charged following an explosion that brought peak-hour traffic to a standstill in Sydney's inner-west.
Emergency services raced to Wentworth Park Road in Glebe just after 5pm on Wednesday (AEST) after reports of an explosion and fire at a public housing apartment block.
Specialist police units were called and a number of gas cylinders were safely removed.

A 32-year-old man was arrested on Thursday at a cafe in Redfern and has been charged with a revocation of parole warrant and possession of a prohibited drug.
He remains in custody to appear at Central local Court on Friday.
