Queensland man charged with murder after allegedly stabbing man over missing property

A 49-year-old man has faced court after he was charged with fatally stabbing a man in Cairns.

Police allege David Savage and the 53-year-old victim were arguing over missing property when the attack occurred.

“It was a silly argument over property that certainly didn’t need this sort of response,” Queensland Police spokesman Bruno Asnicar said.

The incident marks the second “suspicious” death at the apartment complex in the past two years.
