Man 'caught masturbating' outside Brisbane school

A man accused of masturbating in his car outside a Brisbane high school in full view of teenage students told police he was trying to "put it back in his pants" when he was caught.

Richard Morton, 23, has faced court after a 13-year-old female student at MacGregor State high school allegedly saw him groping himself with the window partly down at 8am on April 4.

Morton, who has been charged with three counts of committing an indecent act in a public place, was also allegedly seen by a 12-year-old girl “gripping” his penis a day earlier.

Brisbane Magistrates Court today heard Morton was a serial offender who may have also been spotted committing a sex act in his grey ute in an alley near the Garden City Busway in March.

Morton was arrested after a child recognised him parked in the car on 28 April, police say.

The court heard Morton, who lives close to the school, told police he drove around the neighbourhood "to think".

He claims he “became aroused” while driving around and was “trying to get his erection under control” when he was caught.

Morton will face court again next month.
