Man bailed over Qld bomb hoax siege

A Queensland man arrested over a lengthy stand off with police that sent a town into lockdown has been granted bail.
Malcolm Ross William Jobson, 37, was charged with threatening violence, bomb hoax and going armed to cause fear following the 10-hour siege at Canungra in the Gold Coast hinterland on Thursday.
He allegedly barricaded himself inside his car claiming it was packed with explosives.

Jobson was granted bail in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Friday.
His case is due to return to court on February 10.
