Man assaulted during robbery of Adelaide home

A man is fighting for his life in hospital after being assaulted during an allegedly targeted robbery at his Adelaide home overnight.

Two men broke into the home on Waldron Street in Henley Beach South about 12.30am, police said.

They then allegedly assaulted the male resident, and stole mobile phones and other items.

The injured man was taken to Royal Adelaide Hospital with serious head injuries, and remains in a critical but stable condition.

Police believe the attack may have been targeted.

Investigations are ongoing.
