Man arrested after alleged axe attack on parents and brother
A man accused of assaulting his elderly parents and brother with an axe in Victoria’s Gippsland region has been arrested after a major manhunt.
Police have been trying to track down Peter O’Ryan since Saturday, when he allegedly attacked his brother Paul, 47, his mother Janine, 74, and 76-year-old father Keith.
Paul and Keith were airlifted to hospital in Melbourne with life-threatening injuries and remain in a critical condition.

Police said O’Ryan fled a home on Cowies Road in Tyers about 12.30pm on Saturday after the alleged attack took place.
On Tuesday evening, police officers responded to reports that the 48-year-old man was loitering in the vicinity of Tyers-Walhalla Road just before 9pm.
O’Ryan was arrested and will now be interviewed by police.
Police previously said they believed the alleged assault may have followed an argument.
O’Ryan has no fixed address and was known to live in the bush.
