Man charged with attempted murder over stabbing of man and woman in Hervey Bay

A man has been charged with two counts of attempted murder after a man and a woman were found with stab wounds at Hervey Bay in Queensland.

Police say that around 2am today officers were called to a home in Urraween to find a 27-year-old woman with stab wounds to her face and neck.

A 32-year-old man was found in a neighbouring backyard with stab wounds to his head.

The pair were taken to Hervey Bay Hospital with serious injuries.

A 30-year-old Susan River man was arrested and charged with two counts of attempt to murder and wilful damage and is due to appear in the Hervey Bay Magistrates Court on Monday.
