Man allegedly slashed with box cutters in Newcastle
A man is in hospital after allegedly being attacked with a box cutter at a home in Newcastle.
The 22-year-old was at a home on Gordon Avenue in Hamilton when he became involved in an argument with two other men.
One of the men allegedly attacked the 22-year-old with a box cutter, slashing both his arms.
The injured man ran from the home and called emergency services.
He was treated at the scene before being take to John Hunter Hospital suffering from lacerations to his upper arms.
Authorities attended the residence, established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the alleged attack.
