A man has admitted murdering an Adelaide debt collector, who was repeatedly stabbed outside his home.

Phi Ngoc Phu Le, 26, of Paralowie, pleaded guilty in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Friday to murdering Amin Asrawe, 33, who was found dead outside his Paradise home on August 9 last year.

Police at the time described the killing as brutal, saying the newly-married Mr Asrawe may have been ambushed on his way home from work in the city which he had left at about 4.30am.

Prosecutors have alleged that Mr Asrawe suffered 26 stab wounds from at least two weapons.

Le will be arraigned in the Supreme Court on July 28.

His girlfriend, Ngoc Linh Bui, 33, is also charged with the murder.

She is due back in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on July 4.
