Man, 83, rescued after spending night in bushland
An elderly man has been rescued after 24 hours lost in bushland in Queensland's southeast.
A rescue helicopter winched medical help to 83-year-old Colin Clift before was plucked from the thick scrub more than a day after disappearing near Toowoomba.
He has been treated for dehydration and exposure after being found at 10.30am, more than a day after he was reported missing.
He was found at the bottom of a steep, rocky cliff, and was winched to a RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter about midday, the Toowoomba Chronicle reports.
The rescue comes after a frantic 24-hour search from SES volunteers and the police.
His wallet and glasses were found across the road from Camp Toowoomba, a camping and conference centre.
Emergency services say Mr Clift is in reasonable health.
