Man charged with murder of underworld figure Mahmoud 'Brownie' Ahmad
A third man has been charged over his alleged role in the April murder of underworld figure Mahmoud "Brownie" Ahmad.
Ahmad, 39, died after being shot on the street in south-west Sydney on April 27.
Police arrested a 26-year-old man during a vehicle stop at Campsie about 12.40pm yesterday.

He had returned to Australia in late October after leaving the country in May.
Officers then raided a Campsie home, seizing "a number of items" for forensic examination and charged the man with murder.
He was also charged with participating in a criminal group, contributing to criminal activity.

Detective Superintendent Doherty said today police will allege the 26-year-old was part of a "sophisticated and well planned murder plot".

The 26-year-old man is scheduled to appear in Bankstown Local Court today.
A 37-year-old man had been arrested and charged in July with accessory to the murder and a 49-year-old had similar charges filed against him in June.
