Lottery winners could be unaware they're $23m richer
A Queenslander and a NSW resident could be unaware they are each $23 million dollars richer after winning a three-way share in a $70 million lottery jackpot on unregistered Players Club cards.
A winning Powerball ticket was bought at Oak Flats Newsagency in the Illawarra but Tatts Lotteries do not know the identity of the lucky punter.
A second separate ticket was bought at Tosh's Convenience Store in Ayr in north Queensland without a registered Players Club card.
A third person, who is from Western Australia, also took home their $23.3 million share of the winnings, Tatts Lotteries said.
"Anyone who purchased an unregistered entry from Oak Flats Newsagency in last night's Powerball draw is urged to check their tickets as soon as possible to see if they've scored a division one share worth more than $23.3 million," a spokeswoman told the Illawarra Mercury.
