'I love you': Lorde praises flight attendant's cover of 'Royals'

Pop star Lorde has praised a US flight attendant's rendition of her hit song 'Royals' – which she performed for passengers onboard an American Airlines' flight.

Robynn Shayne's decision to pull-out her guitar and break into song was all captured by her co-worker Nick Stracener, who then uploaded the video to YouTube last Sunday.

"On a lovely winter day I came across my coworker Robynn who I noticed was carrying a guitar with her on our trip," Mr Stracener wrote on his YouTube account. "I then asked her if she played and she said she loves to play and sing. Then this happened."

Mr Stracener's video of Ms Shayne's pitch-perfect rendition has already amassed more than 60,000 views on YouTube and has received praise from all corners of the globe – including Lorde herself.

After watching the video on Thursday, The New Zealand-born singer tweeted to Ms Shayne: "Robynn, I love you," to which Ms Shayne replied: "Love ya back!"

According to Ms Shayne's website she is a singer/songwriter and has released one self-titled EP.
