Linda Reynolds to deal with Liberal Party bullying internally

Liberal Senator Linda Reynolds says she'll deal with bullying and intimidation within the party processes and not publicly.

Senator Reynolds said she's not "giving up the fight", but believes the best way to bring about "meaningful change" is to deal with the behaviour internally.

And she pleaded with the Labor Party to stop politicising the issue.

Senator Reynolds spoke out against the threats during the leadership showdown, in a speech to the Senate last month.

But today, she said it'd be the last time she'll raise the matter publicly or in the chamber.

"The Australian people have made it clear to me they are sick and tired of politicians talking about themselves," Senator Reynolds said.

"I share their sentiment.

"The correct forum to address these concerns is by robust, constructive discussions within the Liberal Party parliamentary processes.

"And not in the media or in this chamber."

She said she's confident the prime minister and party whips are taking the appropriate action.
