Liberal candidate resigns from board role

Federal Liberal candidate Warren Mundine has stepped down as chairman of a firm that is the preferred tenderer for government indigenous employment services.

Mr Mundine - the Liberal candidate for the NSW seat of Gilmore - chaired RISE Ventures, a successful employment service which covers many remote areas of the country.

But on Tuesday a spokesman for RISE said Mr Mundine had resigned from the board and as chairman.
