Lib MPs challenged in four WA fed seats

Four sitting Liberal MPs are being challenged for pre-selection for their West Australian federal seats ahead of a possible July election.

Applications for endorsement for House of Representatives seats closed at midday on Tuesday, with notable applications including former Liberal Party state director Ben Morton, who takes on Dennis Jensen in the battle for Tangney.

Swan MP Steve Irons, Durack's Melissa Price and Forrest's Nola Marino are each being challenged by one other Liberal candidate.

Seven Liberals have put up their hands for the newly created seat of Burt in Perth's southeast.
