Cribs have been set up along Bondi Beach in a staged protest run by campaign group GetUp! over the government's decision to send 267 refugees to Nauru.

The 37 cribs have been set up as part of the ‘Let Them Stay’ campaign which seeks to stop the return of the refugees, which includes 37 babies.

The group’s Facebook event asked for local families to head down to Bondi to join the event.

Campaigner Alycia Gawthorne posted photographs of the cribs on Twitter with tweets addressed to the Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull.

“Bondi says #LetThemStay @TurnbullMalcolm, you know, those people who vote for you”, she wrote.

Yesterday, two protesters suspended themselves from a Melbourne bridge with a “Let Them Stay” banner.

A High Court decision on February 3 cleared the way for the return of the refugees following a failed challenge against Australia’s offshore processing arrangements.
