Lamp post saves Polish pedestrian from being crushed by car

A Polish pedestrian is thanking her lucky stars after a lamp post blocked an out-of-control car that would have otherwise likely pinned her to a wall.
CCTV released by the Kalisz City Board for Road & Transportation shows two cars almost crashing after one turns into a street.
The second car tries to avoid a smash by veering to one side, clipping the first’s bonnet and careering towards a woman standing on a footpath.

The pedestrian tries to escape but runs into a wall, falling directly into the car’s path.
She is not injured, however, because the car comes to a rest against a lamp post just inches away from her.
Neither the pedestrian or two drivers were seriously injured, The Associated Press reports.
