Lambie says thanks to Tasmanians
Jacqui Lambie has sent a message of thanks and "good on youse" to Tasmanians for her re-election to the Senate.
In a brief video message released on Sunday, the Burnie politician vowed to keep fighting for the island state, including dairy farmers for whom she plans to "go in hard and fast" to secure a 50-cent-per-litre milk levy.
"I don't care who the government of the day ends up being, all those hundreds of millions of dollars worth of promises that were directed for Tasmania, I'm going to make sure that each and every one of them is delivered," said the senator, who is waiting to hear whether her party will reach a second quota in the upper house vote tally and bring running mate Steve Martin into the Senate.
