Man granted bail after alleged bashing of Hungry Jack's worker on the Gold Coast

A member of an outlawed motorcycle club has been granted bail after allegedly bashing a 19-year-old fast food worker on the Gold Coast after "she forgot to give him fries".

Jackson Teamo - who is a member of New Zealand's 'Head Hunters' MC - ordered a meal at the Labrador Hungry Jack's drive-thru just after 6pm on Sunday before realising a worker forgot to give him his chips.

He demanded "free cheeseburgers" in response to the blunder.

But when the woman refused and said he would have to pay, Teamo jumped the counter and chased the terrified staff member around the store before confronting her in a corner and allegedly punching her multiple times.

"It was immature. If I could take back what I did I would," he said after released from the watch house.

"It wasn't over the food it was over me."

The court heard that Teamo - who is a father and a "family man" - has a "dated" criminal history in New Zealand but no record in Queensland.

"I don't think it's acceptable. And I'm truly sorry for what I did," he said.

He was given bail on a number of conditions, including not visiting the Hungry Jack's and must visit his local police station weekly.

The victim received treatment in hospital for her facial injuries.

Teamo will return to court next month.
