Labor states yet to sign homelessness plan

All coalition state governments have signed up to a national two-year agreement on homelessness, but now their Labor counterparts need to do the same, federal Social Services Minister Scott Morrison says.

The federal government pledged $230 million under the 2015-17 partnership from July 1, with Western Australia and the Northern Territory the first to put pen to paper, and commitments from NSW and Tasmania.

"I am though concerned that the Labor states, having all ... called on the Abbott government to provide this new funding, as yet have not agreed to the new arrangements," Mr Morrison told reporters in Melbourne on Monday.
