Labor is set for a shock state election win in Queensland just three years after it was brutalised at the ballot box, a new poll has reportedly revealed.

A Galaxy poll showed the were swings of up to 12 per cent against the Campbell Newman government in the state's southeast, News Corp has reported.

The poll suggests Labor leader Annastacia Palaszczuk could lead a hung Parliament after the election.

Predicted results were not much better for the Newman-led LNP across north Queensland, with Labor picking up extra votes that at the last election had gone to the Katter Australia Party.

Mr Newman's seat of Ashgrove has been tipped as one to watch, but the LNP has refused to publicly comment about the possibility of having to find a successor.
