A head stolen from a statue of King George V last year may have reappeared onstage during a hip-hop gig in Melbourne.

Northern Irish group Kneecap, known for their republican stance and Irish language lyrics, displayed a similar-looking head during a recent performance.

"Well well a chairde Gael," the group posted on X on March 15 – an apparent reference to the phrase "a chairde gaoil", meaning "my dear friends".
