Salim Mehajer's sister spared no expense for bridal party

Former Auburn deputy mayor Salim Mehajer looks to have a rival in the extravagant wedding stakes, in the form of his sister Khadijeh.

Instagram photos show Khadijeh Mehajer, who goes by the name Kat, held an opulent bridal shower last night which included no less than three outfit changes.

Lavish décor at the event adhered to a strict pink and white theme, with elegant flowers trailing along the ceiling and down the wall.

With towers of pink and white macaroons, a three-tier cake, pink frosted cupcakes and cream filled heart-shape sponges, the catering blended seamlessly into the décor.

To make sure no one forgot who the celebration was for, there was a giant lit-up "K" near the corner.

No expense was spared on the bride-to-be's numerous outfits.

She was first seen in a short lacy white dress before she changing into a mint green ensemble. Ms Mehajer capped the evening off in a glossy white, full length ball gown with a black sequin top.

Groom Ibraham Sakalaki threw tradition bridal party protocol to the wind, "surprising" his love and taking her hand on the dance floor.

If her brother's wedding was anything to go by, Ms Mehajer big day will have piles of cash thrown at the celebration.

Salim married Aysha last August in a famously over-the-top ceremony which included the groom being helicoptered to an awaiting red carpet in a local Auburn park where cameras were waited.

He then travelled in a fleet of vehicles, worth more than $50 million, to his Lidcombe home.

The date of Ms Mehajer wedding has not been made public.
