Kanye West gives Kim Kardashian birthday gift to remember

Kanye West has celebrated his wife Kim Kardashian West’s birthday with a compilation of previously unseen video of her as a child.

The rapper posted the five minute montage to Twitter to celebrate his wife's 36th birthday.

Set to the rapper’s song, Only One¸ the clip begins with footage of the reality television star as a young girl with her sister, Kourtney.

"What grade are you going into?," Kardashian West's late father Robert Kardashian asks his daughters.

"First grade!" young Kim replies, before joining her sister in an energetic dance.

Other members of the reality star’s family, including mother Kris Jenner, make appearances throughout the montage.

"Follow your honest beliefs and stay strong," Robert Kardashian can be heard saying at one point.

The special tribute ends with a touching message as the screen fades to black: "I Love You".

The post was well received by West's followers, amassing 600,000 likes.
