Kangaroos trade punches in clash in Adelaide

A pair of sparring kangaroos have been filmed in the Adelaide Hills.

Video shows the pair of marsupials trading punches one after the other on a fenced-off private property this morning.

“They saw me and they’re still going,” the woman behind the camera whispers.

“No way, oh my gosh,” she adds in amazement.

It’s unclear whether the roos were just play-fighting, or having a serious stoush to assert dominance.

Either way, kangaroos are trained to fight from birth.

“A champion fighter wins privileged access to the females,” the legendary Sir David Attenborough said during the BBC Life Story television special.
