Kangaroo hops through Greensborough Plaza shopping centre

A kangaroo has been spotted hopping through a shopping centre in Melbourne's north-east this morning.

Shoppers watched in shock as the kangaroo bounced its way through Greensborough Plaza and into Target.

3AW caller Jess, who saw the kangaroo, told Neil Mitchell it was about a metre tall.

"I came up to my local shopping centre this morning to do a little bit of Christmas shopping early, to find a kangaroo running down the corridors through the shopping centre and into Target," she said.

"It seems a little bit panicked. It's just bouncing around."

The kangaroo was captured by park rangers just after 10am.
