Justin Bieber flees Sydney fans after being surrounded while eating lunch

Popstar Justin Bieber has been filmed eating lunch while surrounded by scores of fans in Sydney, and running away from a screaming crowd. 

Bieber, 23, was in town to perform as part of his Purpose world tour when he went out to eat lunch with friends on Thursday, The Daily Telegraph reports.

Video shows the Canadian star eating at a table in front of a crowd of women and girls, with some police officers ensuring the fans keep their distance.

Bieber was later filmed jogging up a leafy green street, flanked by screaming school students and other young people.

The clip, posted to the @justinbiebertracker Instagram account yesterday, shows one woman screaming for Justin to "get in" her car, which he declines.

Other people can be seen yelling and grabbing at the star.

Bieber performed in Sydney on Wednesday, and in Auckland, New Zealand, last night.
