Woman arrested after leaping from factory roof during drug raid

A woman has been arrested after jumping from the roof of a factory roof during a drug raid in Melbourne's north.

Police recovered more than 500 cannabis plants during the operation, after forcing entry to a factory on Goodyear Drive.

A woman aged in her 20s was arrested at the scene after she leapt from the roof of another factory on the same street.

It is believed the woman may have been hiding in the roof cavity of the factory. 

She was injured on hitting the ground and police cuffed her before hauling her towards waiting ambulances.

She was treated by paramedics for injuries sustained during the leap and has been taken to Austin Hospital.

Police are in the process of dismantling the crop which is estimate to have a street value of more than $1 million.
