MasterChef star Julie Goodwin has pleaded guilty to drink driving after she was accused of doing a u-turn to avoid a breath-test earlier this year.

Goodwin was charged with mid-range drink driving on the New South Wales Central Coast last month.

Police followed her car and breath-tested Goodwin, who registered a BAC result of .107.

In court today she received a $600 fine and had her licence disqualified for six months.

Goodwin, who won the inaugural Australian season of MasterChef, made no comment outside court.

However, her lawyer said she had been "very pleased with the good wishes she had received from the public.

He described the offence as "very much out of character".

"She had extraordinary credits for the work she does for the community on a voluntary basis," he said.

He said the police records showed Goodwin "panicked" when she saw the RBT.
