Missing Gold Coast jet ski rider found

A jet ski rider whose disappearance sparked a sea and aerial search on the Gold Coast has been found.

Police located the man at a boat ramp where he and a friend had departed on their jet skis on Sunday morning.

The two men were jet skiing in the Jacobs Well area, when one noticed the other was missing.

Gold Coast water police, the Volunteer Marine Rescue service and a rescue chopper searched waters in the Jacobs Well area.

The missing rider had turned around and returned to the boat ramp without his friend realising.
